Local ministry background:
Lukas comes from an atheist family. In 2017, he met with Christians from the local church (Moravian church), who testified to him about Christ and led him to conversion. Gradually, he felt more and more that God put the ministry to children and the young generation into his heart. He is actively involved in ministry to children in the church and also in the HY ministry in schools.

In the autumn of 2023, he joined the HY ministry team of workers of the well-known non-profit organization called the Lighthouse. Under the guidance of a strong team of co-workers, Lukas was well trained. Now he can support his team in the long-term implementation of the HY ministry programs for risky behavior at primary schools in his region.

Lukas has interactive programs and, besides important information, he passes on healthy values and an attitude of self-responsibility over life decisions to the children. He wants to show children values that are not entirely popular and evident in today’s world, such as the importance of family or acceptance of one’s own value.

As a part of his follow-up activities, Lukas works as a leader of leisure-time clubs. It is a sports club for anyone who likes to move and is not afraid to try something new. Lukas also joined the Survival Club for teenage boys and girls. It is intended for those who want to learn how to cope with various difficult situations in the city and in nature.

How he became a HY Worker:
Already as a scoutmaster (during his adolescence), he realized that he liked to spend time working with children. After graduating from high school, when he was looking for what to do next, he was interested in the primary prevention program of the Lighthouse organization. He praises the fact that it is in the Lighthouse organization where he can devote himself to work with the young generation.

He believes that thanks to the HY programs in conjunction with follow-up activities in leisure-time clubs, he will be able to establish healthy relationships with young people in his surroundings. He wants to be a support and encouragement for them in their difficult time of adolescence. With his life, he wants to point to Jesus and be a good witness to the children.

Lukas works under the auspices of the well-established non-profit organization called the Lighthouse. That is a Christian organization in Liberec and its ministry is firmly based on the very active local Moravian Church.
